LTO Barcode-Label-Generator

This is a free online generator for LTO Ultrium Tape Barcode Labels.

Important! At the moment I don't have any time for improving this website. Sorry, but suggestions or requests won't be implemented in near future.

Usage:

Just fill in the form and click on Generate my labels.
Unless you hit a limit mentioned below under Restrictions a PDF file will be downloaded which contains your generated Labels.
Print this file on your adhesive labels without scaling or page fitting. Choose original size or 100%
When using blank templates just cut the labels along the lines with a rotary trimmer (like a Dahle 507 Personal Trimmer) or simply use a pair of scissors.

IBM LTO specifications state clearly that The barcode label and associated adhesive shall have an environmental performance to match or exceed the environmental specifications of the cartridge to which it is applied

Barcode recognition problems:
If your library has problems recognizing the barcodes correctly then it's most likely that the reflectivity of the printout is too high. In this case please try another laser printer. I had no problems printing these labels on HP LaserJet P2055DN (amazon.de), and HP LaserJet M2727nfs printers.

Generator:

Comment		Informational text which will be printed on top of every page (140 chars max.)
Comment-Offset		offset to add to the top border of the comment in millimeters
Library type		Manufacturer of your Library
Tape type		Media type of your tapes
prefix		fixed string (5 chars max.)
suffix		fixed string (5 chars max.)
Start		Starting number of your labels. Prefix + Number = 6 digits max.
Quantity		200 labels per request max.
Check Digit		include check digit in barcode
Text orientation	horizontal (barcode on bottom) horizontal (barcode on top) vertical (barcode on right) vertical (barcode on left)	orientation of the human readable text
Fontscaling		scaling factor for changing the size of the human readable text values > 1 increase font size, values < 1 decrease fontsize
Barcode scaling		scaling factor for changing the length of the barcode itself values > 1 increase length (e. g. 1.05 for 5% increase), values < 1 decrease length
Color scheme/Layout	monochrome monochrome with comment on every label (text orientation settings won't work!) full colors only colored numbers prefix color: suffix color:

horizontal offset		horizontal offset (left/right) in millimeters (+/-)
vertical offset		vertical offset (up/down) in millimeters (+/-)
horizontal whitespace		adds a whitespace between labels in millimeters (3 mm max., no negative values)
debug mode		overlays every page with a millimeter grid
hide infotext		don't print any additional info

Restrictions of the generator:
Because of PHP-Memory-Limit you cannot generate more than 200 labels per request.

3rd party components:
This generator is using Barcode Writer in Pure PostScript.

Privacy:
Except the common logging of the webserver itself NO additional personal data is stored on the server. Your Ip address is stored for 24 hours max as a non reversible sha256 hash. Additionally statistical and non expiring data is stored for every label generation. This record consists only of a timestamp, how many labels were requested and for which media type. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!
